Part 2:
Crafting Your Home – a Multisensory Experience

On this Monday, we invite the RP community to rethink the idea of Home – what does home actually mean, and how do we find it within ourselves? We explore the notion of the Home and of the Day through conversation, music, painting, writing, and movement. We hold space for participants to consider moments of devotion to themselves through daily rituals and practices and delve into how these practices can actually set you free – a freedom that is not tied to time and space but is carried with you.

How can we redefine the Day, redefine Time? How can we carry freedom in our pockets wherever we go?

Program

7pm Doors – With arrival initiation (lighting, music, cleanse, box for phones, take off shoes)

7:30pm Introduction – Participate or leave policy, we are just humans in this room no titles or positions. We are here to redesign, remodel and refurbish our Homes and lay the foundations of how to return ‘home’ to ourselves.

7:45pm Discussion – Conversation about everyone’s day and what defined it

8:15pm Live music + Painting – Draw or paint “the home” (it doesn’t have to be an actual house but a representation / symbol of it). We blindfold everyone in the middle of the music and people just listen for 15 minutes, then uncover. Discussion about noise in life and how perceptions change

9:30pm Intermission – Different music, lighting change, layout change after musicians leave

9:45 Ritual Circle of Word + Journaling – Speak about our re-definition of “the Day” and how rituals are the key to freedom
